Pawnee, Indiana of Parks and Recreation
The city of Pawnee, Indiana comes from the television show Parks and Recreation and is not found in other forms of entertainment. There are many things that make the small, quiet city of Pawnee interesting, especially the people. One thing that Pawnee is known for is the "Toast of the Town." The toast of the town happens to come from the local bread factory, the Boone Bread Factory, that has burned down numerous times and been rebuilt as well. The Boone Bread Factory was also the largest employer in Pawnee for quite sometime as well. The city was originally named Paradise, but due to the an illiterate founder, it was named Pawnee.
The people of Pawnee are devoted to the well-being of the city and will go to great lengths to protect and support their home. The city council are extremely competitive and will go head to head, even sabotaging the other just to get their way, especially councilman Leslie Knope who tries to make Pawnee a better city but usually makes the job twice as difficult to complete and constantly runs into obstacles. Just like any other city, Pawnee follows all state laws although there are a few odd laws such as buffalo meat being acceptable currency or the law that states that if a woman raises her voice to a land-owning man then her punishment is an egg to the face.
Pawnee is probably the most important aspect to the entire show, being that the show is based off the parks and recreation department. If it weren't for Pawnee there would be no parks and recreation and that would be a tragedy because it's just an awesome show.
Overall, Pawnee is a good city filled with quirky people and laws that probably shouldn't exist but do. I chose Pawnee because i love the show Parks and Recreation and my first choice was Scranton, PA from the show The Office, but it's unfortunately a real city. Also there are the best gifs for this show and it really added emphasis on what was being explained.
Not to mention the monumental amount of wisdom this show is full of.
